VISION
MCAOFFLA'S vision is to establish a membership association which will take a pro-active and constructive role in developing and advancing the careers of minority coaches into significant positions of leadership in the coaching profession.


MISSION STATEMENT
The principle mission of the Minority Coaches Association of Florida (MCAOFFLA) is to empower, develop and advancing the coaching careers of minority coaches in athletics in Florida and beyond. Our mission includes the improved retention of the existing pool of minority coaches; the significant expansion of the number of minority coaches at all levels; the creation of a pipeline of qualified future minority coaches; and the advocacy for the establishment of equitable employer organizational cultures and work environments that are conducive to the long term professional and financial success of current and future minority coaches and a positive atmosphere where issues can be debated and resolved in a timely and respectful manner.

MCAOFFLA will achieve our mission through the following strategic objectives:

MCAOFFLA will promote the educational and professional development of coaches through national training and professional development academies and regional educational programs for its membership.

MCAOFFLA will provide a forum to facilitate dialogue through a professional network that enhances discussion among the membership on a myriad of topics pertaining to the coaching profession.

MCAOFFLA will expand the overall population of minority coaches by working with leagues leagues, middle schools, high schools, colleges, universities, search firms, private clubs, conferences, and professional organizations to promote, identify and hire minority coaches for top leadership positions, at all levels of coaching.

MCAOFFLA will create and establish a database which will become the most comprehensive repository of minority coaches in the sports industries.

MCAOFFLA will take a lead role in advocating on behalf of the Associations membership and becoming the a voice to address minority coaching issues and needs in Florida and beyond.

MCAOFFLA will take an active role in advocating for Student athlete welfare by addressing and raising constructive concerns and objections to FHSAA and NCAA legislation and policies which disproportionately affect minority student athletes to their detriment.
